My All Time Favourite Hair & Beauty Products

by - March 01, 2020

I thought it might be fun to share some of my all time favourite hair and beauty products! I'm have used each and every product on this list  for a while now, so they're tried, tested  and I love each of them. There is a real mix of high end vs. high street products, so hopefully there is something for everyone!

Best Hair Buys

Having a best friend that is a super talented hairdresser can have its pros. She'll come over to hang out and end up cutting my hair if we get bored. She shows me how I should style my hair as well as showing me which products I should be using to have salon fresh looking hair every day. Because of this, a lot of these products are high end. She knows what she likes, and she knows what works. Who am I to argue?!

Keratase resistance serum therapiste - This serum is an all in one. It's great for reducing the appearance of split ends, it seals and heals the ends of y our hair while also protecting your hair from heat up to 230°. I honestly adore how this product leaves my hair feeling. It's so softening and nourishing, I feel like my hair gets a real treatment every single time I used it.

Head jog 72 brush - What gal do you know that doesn't want bouncy voluminous hair? My friend recommended this brush for blow-drying my hair to create extra volume from root to tip. The barrel is ceramic, so it retains the heat and curls your hair like a curling iron if you use it just right. I could spend ages drying and shaping my hair. This brush makes it the easiest job, which is great for me since I have super thick hair.

Shu Uemura touch of gloss melt in wax - This max is amazing! It's not thick like a normal wax, but it's great for getting rid of frizz or fly away hairs. It's also got a slight shimmer to it, which adds a slight shine to your hair. It just takes your finished hair style that next step without being heavy and smells glorious!

Tangle Tezzer blow styling tool full paddle - This brush is an absolute godsend! I've always struggled with tangles in my hair and scalp sensitivity. Every time I'd brush my hair was torture, but not anymore! This brush is just like a  regular tangle tezzer, in that it works out all of your tangles and knots but it does so without hurting at all. The bonus of this brush is that unlike the original tezzers, the bristles are strong enough and heat resistant enough to use while drying your hair! I'll honestly never be without it, it's a total game changer and my scalp is so grateful!

GHD air hair dryer - Thanks to my ginger locks, my hair is super, super thick and because of that, it takes a decade to dry! My old drier worked just fine if you aim was to waste half an hour and get an arm workout, but I knew it wasn't the greatest. So I asked my bud to recommend a dryer and I'm so glad I did! This hairdryer has cut drying time in half! It's not as loud as other dryers I've used and it doesn't get as unnecessarily hot, which is great for my hair!

OGX coconut water shampoo and conditioner - I have used so many professional salon shampoos and conditioners, and they're all great in their own way, but the price tag can be a little out of budget. I decided to do some searching for a great brand at a fair price and OGX ticked both those boxes! They have tons of different formulas so you're sure to find something great for you at a fraction of the price you'd pay at a salon.

GHD max hair straighteners - I've had these straightener for 8 years now! 8 full years! I use them almost every other day and they've never let me down once! I use them to curl as well as straighten my hair and I cannot recommend them enough. There is a reason everyone loves GHD straighteners, don't ignore the hype!

Best Beauty Buys
When it comes to beauty products, I more often than not stick to more affordable brands. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a good splurge on a product from time to time but a product has to be worth it for me to spend that little bit extra.

Revlon colourstay foundation - I have used so many different foundation brands over the years. High end and high street, full coverage to sheer coverage, and nothing suits my skin as well as this amazing product from Revlon. I always grab the combination/oily version as that's my skin type and it's always a dream. I love the way it blends and it covers really well but you can still see my freckles. I can't fault this cheap but powerful option.

Tarte lights, camera, lashes mascara - I first got this mascara as a little tester stocking stuffer gift one Christmas. I didn't really think to use it until my previous mascara dried out so I thought I'd try it out, and boy am I glad I did! Not only does this mascara make my lashes look both thicker and fuller, but the brush is great for coating every lash, including the wee ones in the inner corners. Although it's a more expensive option, it doesn't crumble off all over your face and it honestly lasts all day long. I've recommended it to so many people, it's probably my number one make up bag staple.

Morphe 35T eye-shadow palette - I've had this palette for quite a while. I'd heard a lot of hype around Morphe's shadow palettes and I wanted to find out just how good they are for myself. I decided to go for the 35T because I tend to stick to more natural, neutral tones. I love the mix of slightly blush tones and browner earthy tones. I can use this palette every day and create something entirely new. There are so many shades and the pigment is extraordinary. I'm definitely going to check some more of their palettes out in the future.

Real Techniques make-up brushes - These brushes are a great option for someone that wants a step up from a cheaper kit but  doesn't have the money to spend on a professional set. There is a brush for anything and everything, you'll end up wit a brush for each step of your make-up routine. I also adore the bold metals Real Techniques brushes which are aimed to semi-professionals. I just love how soft they are, they're easy to clean and pick up just enough product.

Liz Earle cleanse & polish cleanser - This was a blogger recommended product. I've always struggled with my skin. As a teen I'd have the worst break outs and I'd just hope my skin would behave itself as I grow. I was wrong, at 28 I still have struggles with my skin. But, this cleanser is great! It's gentle but powerful, it'll remove any trace of make-up or dirt on your face and leave you feeling fresh and light. My skin is a heck of a lot better since I started using this. This is my must have face product.

Elizavecca hell-pore clean up mask - Remember those super funny YouTube videos of people yanking those charcoal masks off? This is that! It gets right down into your pores to remove any gunk and build up as well as any dry, dead skin. If you use it correctly, it isn't as painful as it looks - I promise! I use this mask once a week for a deep clean and my skin always feels so refreshed after.

NYX epic ink liner - This eyeliner is heavenly. I have really oily skin on my eyelids, and I've always struggled with trying to get liquid eyeliner to last a whole day without rubbing all over my face and leaving me looking like a raccoon! This one, doesn't budge. I don't even need to use an eye-shadow or primer. This is my holy grail eyeliner and I can't fault it. I love the tip, I love that it's easy to hold like a pen and I just adore it. This is defiantly a product worth investing in!

Maybelline 24 superstay liquid lipstick - Like most people I jumped on the liquid lipstick trend in a big way, and I adore Maybelline. There is such a huge collection of colours to choose from and they honestly last all day! You're sure to find something you'll love. I have an ever growing collection and I adore them all. They're a great product for the price!

I hope this list helps you find a golden grail product! Are there any products that you'd recommend or cannot live without? I'd love to know!
